I used one of my fractals as a reference for the shaping of the wings and the overall coloring. And I did a pencil tracing of a photograph of Sarah Brightman, to get used to the lines of her face and body, then used it as a reference for the details....of course, once I began painting, it was so much more difficult than I thought. The skin tone surprised me the most, because it took so many colors. It was quite a challenge for this novice...but, I'm looking forward to learning new techniques and improving my skills.
But, I'm proud of it because it is actually, recognizable as Sarah!
